Liaise with Contact Centre team to ensure accurate bookings for client, handle invoice queries and liaise with the Finance Team, to deal with queries that are sent by the Corporate companies and where applicable handle them directly, liaising with other internal departments to create a response to deal with complaints and liaise with other internal departments where necessary. Send email merges and letter merges where required, meet corporate clients with the Account Director, onsite at their facilities ensuring that you represent the brand at all times. Summary The Essex CTC has facilities for 100 patient beds, including many individual rooms, employs over 400 staff performing an average of 450 thoracic surgical cases and between 200 and 300 non-surgical thoracic interventional procedures together with 900 cardiac and close to 2400 cardiology procedures each year. Facilities include a highly equipped 22 bed critical care unit, separate 32-bedded cardiothoracic surgery ward; on-site cardiorespiratory assessment unit, full radiology support (CT/MRI with a mobile PET-scanner), rehabilitation gym and overnight facilities for relatives. Plans are in place to open a respiratory intervention unit in 2019 to undertake further non-surgical intervention including endobronchial therapies. We are looking for possibly two thoracic surgical colleagues to cover a sabbatical in the first instance and to dovetail into the Centre's plan to have a substantive dedicated thoracic surgeon in the near future. Essex CTC is one of the few centres in the UK has well established minimally invasive thoracic and cardiac surgical programme. Thoracic surgery at present is being delivered by three cardiothoracic consultants supported by a thoracic surgical nurse specialist and dedicated administrative team (with MacMillan Cancer involvement). Thoracic surgery activity has demonstrated a consistent year-on-year increase since the inception of the Centre in 2007 and we now undertake over 150 major lung resections. The Centre primarily attracts patients from four major district general hospitals but there are patients referred from further afield for some of the specialist collaborative work that the Centre undertakes like chest wall resection and reconstruction. There is well-equipped hybrid theatre suite which currently supports TAVI, hybrid cardiac procedures along with major vascular surgery and Interventional radiology services. We are highly involved in all kinds of research trials. Summary We are recruiting Band 3 Support workers based within the Prenton Suite/136 place of safety. The Prenton Suite is a Section 136 place of safety as defined by the Mental Health Act 1983. It accepts direct referrals from the Police Service and is also used to divert S136 presentations from A + E Departments as well as being utilised as a more appropriate environment for service users to wait for admission or assessment safely rather than a busy A + E Department. We are looking for motivated, hard-working and enthusiastic support workers with excellent values to support individuals with mental health issues presenting at the above suite. You must have excellent communication skills, be reliable, punctual and work well in a team, being adaptable to changing situations. You will need to be able to work calmly and efficiently within a busy and intensive environment dealing with unpredictable situations whilst remaining focused on providing a person centred approach to care and treatment. Summary An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated registered nurse with a keen interest in cancer services to join our incredible team. Experienced within this specialty is desired but not essential as we are able to provide a thorough training programme. The Headland unit is a 21 chair spaced oncology/ haematology day unit with purpose built side rooms for teenagers and young adults and a stem cell harvesting. We are currently open 5 days a week and administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood product support and biphosphonates to patients aged 16 and above. To support and enhance our nurses we have in house practice educators who work closely with new starters and guide our nurses to becoming competent in the delivery of systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT). The post-holder would be based on the Headland unit which also staffs our mobile cancer care unit and allows us to deliver SACT in the community. There is an expectation that nurses will be willing to support our sister inpatient ward, Lowen if required. On-going education and development is actively encouraged and there is access to degree level modules in Chemotherapy, Oncology and Haematology, as well as opportunities to attend local, national and international conferences.
