Summary You will be employed as a Research Development Officer in the College of Physical Sciences and Engineering and will facilitate and support the research activities undertaken across the seven Schools within the College. You will provide advice, guidance and specialist support to researchers seeking funding from a variety of sources including the Research Councils, The Royal Academy of Engineering, European Union (EU) and others. You will be pro-active in supporting research funding applications and related activities in the Schools, which already have international reputations for research excellence and are major generators of external research income to the University. You will work closely with the College Dean of Research, the College Research Manager and the Research Development Team within Research and Innovation Services and will work directly to support the achievement of the University's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for research, as specified in Cardiff University's The Way Forward strategy. This position is full-time (35 hours per week) and fixed term until 31st of March 2021 to cover a staff absence. Salary: £33,199 - £39,609 per annum (Grade 6).
