Summary Job Term: Permanent Appointment type: Full Time Hours: 37 hours per week (Seasonal variations) Location: Stonegravels Depot Department: Waste & Street Cleaning Division: Commercial Services Job description and person specification This is an exciting opportunity to join Chesterfield Borough Council's Streetscene team. We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to inspire, motivate and lead teams to provide a high-quality grounds maintenance and street cleansing service. Team Leaders are hands on in managing a team to carry out grounds maintenance, street cleansing, playground inspections, drainage, groundwork and specialist projects, including fencing and hard and soft landscaping. Alongside the day-to-day management of their team, the Team Leader will be dealing with enquiries from the public and councillors, actively seeking commercial opportunities and improving the efficiency of the service. We are seeking applications from individuals who have good IT skills and excellent planning, prioritising and communication skills. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to motivate, use initiative and must be a proactive problem solver. These roles will require occasional weekend and bank holiday working by rota as part of a Monday to Sunday working week. There is also the possibility of working outside normal working hours on call.
