Year 6 Intervention Teachers – QTS Are you a qualified teacher with previous experience in Year 6? Can you work alongside the school’s class teacher, providing targeted interventions? Can you boost pupils’ learning in preparation for their SATs exams in the middle of May next year? Based in Smethwick my client is a large community based primary school. In order to boost performance, increase confidence and support learning in preparation for their SATs in May the school are keen to recruit two Year 6 Intervention Teachers. Two Year 6 Intervention Teachers Need QTS and previous Year 6 experience Full time from Jan – May 2020 No planning required £110 - £150 per day
In preparation for their Year 6 SATs my client primary school have identified a number of pupils across their classes who require additional support to reach the required level. Working alongside the class teachers the recruited intervention teachers will support learning both in class and out of class with small group sessions. At times the school’s regular teacher will take out small groups and at these points there will be a need to teach the whole class. The school is a very welcoming primary where all teachers and support staff are made to feel part of the team, which sadly is not always the way when teachers work on supply contracts. The school would like to meet experienced Key Stage 2 teachers who, ideally, have taught in Year 6 previously and have good knowledge of SATs. They are also keen to meet teachers that are patient, organised with the ability to explain topics or points in a creative way, ensuring all pupils make the necessary progress. Smile are committed to finding the right teachers their perfect school.
