Summary We have a total of five posts available as follows: Three permanent posts at Lecturer level that are full time, working 35 hours per week. Two post that are full time (35 hours per week) and fixed term for 12 months. These posts will be offered at either Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level. This post sits within the School of Management and Marketing, a constituent part of Westminster Business School which has an exceptional reputation for practice-informed teaching and research. You will become part of a community of around 60 academic staff with a shared focus on sustainable business, responsible management and marketing in an international context. You will be based at the University's Marylebone site, opposite Baker Street Station, centrally located and immersed in London's business community. We see London as very much part of our field of enquiry; it offers opportunities for staff and students to work closely with outside organisations in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. We are looking for creative and innovative individuals to join our Management team. Successful candidates will contribute to both our undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and will join our dedicated BA Business Management Course Team which serves one of the largest and most successful courses in the university. We are interested in recruiting broad management generalists as well as candidates with expertise in Human Resource Management and Supply Chain Management. Generalist management applicants need to have a high level of IT literacy (Excel and quantitative methods) and a desire to improve students' digital competencies for business. They will be expected to have a good understanding of how IT informs business decision making and resource planning and how it is used to help deliver the strategy of the organisation. We particularly welcome applications from candidates with an interest in or previous experience of sustainability education in a business school environment. This is an exciting time to join us as we extend our portfolio of courses and research activity in Management and Marketing. The School hosts BA Business Management, MA Management and a range of successful undergraduate and postgraduate Marketing courses. In addition, we are currently developing a new graduate MBA for launch in September 2020. As a Senior Lecturer, you will be expected to develop and lead modules and work closely with Course Leaders and other members of the course team. You will initiate and manage the development of teaching materials, methods and assessments and where appropriate develop, mentor and coordinate the work of less experienced colleagues to ensure that teaching is delivered to high quality standards. Duties will include marking and giving feedback, acting as a personal tutor and mentor and providing pastoral support to students. You will also be expected to engage in subject, professional or pedagogic research or other scholarly activities to support your teaching. You will hold a PhD (or have substantial proven teaching experience), degree and a post graduate qualification in a relevant area. You will also likely have a recognised teaching qualification or HEA/Advanced HE Fellowship. As a Lecturer, you will be expected to work closely with Course Leaders, Module Leaders and other members of the course team.
